So, what of Bradleh Daw Gaim 3?

Posted by Jordan on July 16, 2014 at 5:10 AM Comments comments (1)

Oh yeah, that's right. Bradleh Daw Gaim 3...? I think I've heard of that before...

I'm sure some of you are sitting there yelling at your monitor demanding it to be released, while the rest are yelling at their monitor demanding an answer of why I'm even continuing the Bradleh series. Well in case you haven't noticed, I'm absolutely psycho-bonkers crazy and I've lost touch with reality the moment I started this series.

For those of you that do care, Bradleh Daw Gaim 3 will first be musically composed by Acotigur, completed with new textures/programming since I lost the old game engine (Oops, got a virus), tested by a small team, and then published for you to enjoy.

Before I can even begin making this sequel, I am currently working on a top secret project with an old friend known as "Shinobi Gaming" and we have to move it from it's pre-alpha stage to its alpha stage. I also have to do the same thing for Brisget The Game since it's a main priority. In addition, that game has been delayed since 2011 so it's time to get a move-on with it. I hope you will understand this decision.

Bradleh Daw Gaim 3 is going to bring a whole new "WOW" to Bradleh Daw Gaim, making the series much more enjoyable. It will have a faster playstyle but will be made to last longer. More people will want to play it because of these improvements and adjustments meaning an overall more enjoyable gaming experience. Don't worry though, Bradleh Daw Gaim is still going to have the things that made it Bradleh. It will make sense, I promise you. You'll love it as much as I do.

This is Jordan, signing out.

Brisget The Game (Oh yes, it's back)

Posted by Jordan on July 11, 2014 at 12:20 AM Comments comments (1)

First, let me tell you a little bit about what motivated me to start this game up again. I started making games in about 2008, so I only had 3 years of experience when I made Brisget the Game for the first time. It was absolute garbage. Now the year is 2014, and 3 years later still. I've doubled in years under my belt and more than tripled in my knowledge. I can make far better games now than I ever could before.

Displayed above is a screenshot of Brisget the Game today. It differs from the old one by a longshot. Brisget the Game was always intended to be an RPG, however I had no idea how to make one at the time. That being said, if I had finished Brisget the Game in 2011 as originally planned, the game would be a platformer with RPG elements and aspects. It would have been an incredibly strange experience, and I am quite glad it didn't turn out that way.

I am using Game Maker 8 as the engine, so I have to customize and create everything myself. Literally; everything. I even have to start from scratch with the menu and build all of the GUI on my own as well. Least to say, it's going to be a learning experience for me.

It's not just me who will be given the lasting impression however, as I plan to give a lasting impact to the players as well. I want to create an RPG experience that's enjoyable like Barkley, Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden has done for me. The fact that game was created on Game Maker in 2008 just blows my mind, and tells me just how versatile this engine truly is for making a game on just about any sort of medium.

Long story short, this game (Or at least a demo) is going to come out somewhere between this summer and next year. Bank on the upcoming winter.

Birch Pimpledeck

Posted by Jordan on April 20, 2014 at 4:25 PM Comments comments (0)

Birch Pimpledeck is a game I've hoped to create for at least 6 months. I've made numerous experimental engines leading up to this moment, but I feel now it is finally safe to announce that this game will be released some time in the future!

That means this lifetime, so don't worry. It's also not going to take forever like Bradleh Daw Gaim 2.

The game is based off of a comic that is now lost, and no copies were ever made (It was funny, too. Darn...)

The mechanics of this game are fighting game mechanics, such as combos, counters, dodges, blocks & etc. The combo system is fully operational, and everything you see on the screen is fully functional and animated.

I was hoping to make this post when I got halfway finished with the game, but I see that won't be happening anytime this month, so I decided to make the post now. Hopefully you can tell the game is early alpha, but the sprites are smooth and flowing. I'll let you know more as I progress further into development.

As for other games like BDG2 (You know the one), Bee Project 0.5, Highly Responsive to Prayers (Remake), and other family friendly titles such as Brisget The Game, expect news eventually. I'm a bit busy right now with school and this game.

Until the next post,

Bradleh Daw Gaim 2 - FINISHED

Posted by Jordan on February 27, 2014 at 3:20 AM Comments comments (0)

Oh man, it's been FOREVER, and I don't mean that lightly. You've waited, and waited. Now it's finally done. Bradleh Daw Gaim has received its first sequel.

I admit, the announcement here is a bit late, but I was busy collecting feedback from testers. Now the rest of you can enjoy too!

I don't want to spoil much, so here's some links including the download. There's a few minor bugs, but they will be patched shortly. It takes a lot of effort to hand-make installers, so please be patient.

You can download it here (This is version 1.0.0.0 so it may be outdated, check the Wiki): http://www.mediafire.com/download/prngec6rik46fx3/BDG2v1000+Installer.exe

Bradleh Daw Gaim 3 IN PLANNING

Posted by Jordan on October 10, 2013 at 9:15 PM Comments comments (0)

Even though Bradleh Daw Gaim 2 isn't quite out yet, I've already begun on Bradleh Daw Gaim 3, and it's going to be awesome. No, like, AWESOME. You don't even know what I have planned.

Temporary Bradleh Daw Gaim 3 cover: Spoiler

(WARNING: Contains extra boss)

It's almost ready...

Posted by Jordan on October 8, 2013 at 1:45 AM Comments comments (0)

You know what it is. No BS, you've waited long enough.

There's only a few things left for me to do before it will be released.

  1. Correct false difficulty on extra stage
  2. Make a few parts of the game look better
  3. Bug fix (There's quite a few)
  4. Finish Mitt Roonmie's cutscene for Bradleh
  5. Add extra stage ending
  6. Add other methods of getting to extra stage besides debug
  7. Get my beta tester(s) to try it out
  8. Catch myself up in school
  9. Fix some dialogue

It may seem like a lot, but trust me, this is coming out.

Q: Is it really worth the long wait?

A: For all the effort I've been putting in, it better be.

"OGM!!! WUR IS BRADLUH TOOH?!!!"

Posted by Jordan on September 10, 2013 at 12:35 AM Comments comments (2)

Yeah, yeah. I've been getting this question a lot, actually. I didn't know so many people cared. Ran Poul is under coding (almost finished) and I have to make cutscene mechanics for a game engine never intended to run them, which believe it or not, is complex. Don't believe Ran Poul is almost done?

Trust me, it's on its way. One last issue is ultra Foekid placing. It's hard to find places to put these overpowered Foekids, so I have to completely redesign some rooms. It's a pain, but it will be finished.

I tried to cover up the rest of the map by showing coding to prevent spoilers, because I'm nice like that. You're welcome.

As for Bradleh 2, look forward to it coming in about a week or less.

EDIT: (I know, a week is a long time, but that's at the latest. I will likely have it done by then. P.S. Happy Cirno Day!!)
